what is the United White Shepherd club?
The United White Shepherd Club (UWSC) is dedicated to protecting, promoting, and advancing the welfare of purebred White Shepherds. As the official parent club for the breed under the United Kennel Club (UKC). The UWSC played a pivotal role in the UKC’s recognition of the White Shepherd as a distinct breed by January 1, 1999.
The UWSC’s efforts predate the establishment of the White Swiss Shepherd breed. The clubs dedication to the white coated shepherds significantly influenced the development and recognition of the White Swiss Shepherd internationally.
Each year, the UWSC hosts a National Specialty Show, bringing together breeders and enthusiasts from all over the U.S. It’s a big event for the breed, giving people a chance to showcase their dogs, meet breeders/enthusiasts, and appreciate the breeds progress. Breeders travel from across the country to participate. Making it a great place to see quality White Swiss Shepherds in the conformation ring and meet others who are passionate about the breed.
